It all started with a dream

Johnson Golden Harvest started with a tent and a dream in Pembroke, NH in August  of 2009.  We started with produce from only one farm and soon had five or six local growers involved.  It took only a few weeks to realize how much we truly loved our new concept.  What a blessing it is to be able to provide healthy food to people as well as give local farmers the chance to bring their products to market locally.  As the colder weather approached, we had to make a choice.  Either we close for the winter and build something bigger next season or come up with a small shelter and stay open all winter.

After pulling a small shed out of the area woods, refurbishing it with a coat of paint and a touch of love, we turned on the heat and were ready for old man winter.  Our plan  was such that this would get us through the cold months and we would construct something else there in the spring.  After operating out of the shed for a few months, it became apparent that God had a different plan in mind.

The shed in Pembroke closed at the end of 2009 and we are excited to open our new, year round facility in Hooksett, NH in August of 2010. We look forward to seeing many of our friends that we met in our former location as well as meeting many new ones!

We are proud to be members of New Hampshire’s Own,the Farm to Plate Organization, Hooksett Chamber of Commerce and the NH Farm Bureau Association.
